Dogan TV migrates from SD to HD with Cinegy

Munich March 9th 2012: Following the success of the Cinegy deployment at Dogan TV Holding in Turkey in 2005, Cinegy is pleased to announce Dogan TV’s recent migration from SD to HD with Cinegy.

Dogan TV Holding is the largest commercial broadcaster in Turkey, offering a wide range of TV channels for news, drama, entertainment, music and sports including Kanal D, CNN Turk, Animal Planet, Cartoon Network, NBA and many many more.

With 320 concurrent production and editing systems, including digital asset management and digital archive backbone, as well as full integration with 30 HD-SD SDI Ingest channels and over 50 playout channels harmoniously fulfilled by Cinegy Workflow, transformed a traditional broadcaster into a foremost IT-based television broadcaster in Europe. This has been further demonstrated with Dogan TVs recent migration from SD to HD with Cinegy.

Cinegy Air HD provides a broadcast automation front-end and a real-time video server for HD playout in an integrated software suite. Designed to meet the most demanding requirements Cinegy Air HD effortlessly succeeds where so many others fail. Cinegy Air HD can be used to control multiple channels playing to air or to plan schedules, program and commercial blocks offline. Multiple remote or local users can control the schedule and playout operation. Offering unparalleled flexibility by playing mixed format and mixed resolution content as well as un-rendered edit sequences straight to air. Insert logos, add overlays and control external devices. Simulcast output via SDI and/or IP streams for ATSC/DVB or web usage.

“Cinegy is just easy to use, inexpensive and reliable. Cinegy makes life easier. In the beginning, we just had 70 concurrent clients of Cinegy Desktop. As soon as we started using Cinegy, all the departments and channels – news, sports, programs – they all see that they get benefits from using the Cinegy system. In a very short period of time, we increased total usage from 70 to 100, to 150, to 200, to 250 and now it is 320 concurrent users in this facility. Indeed, from A – Z, everybody in broadcast operations (about 750 registered users) are on the Cinegy platform. Says Hasan Kiragi, Director of Broadcast Operations at Dogan TV Holding.
