Briana Weatherspoon from Redrock Micro shares her experiences from Cine Gear 2012

Q: What were you most excited about at this year's Cine Gear? (and did it meet your expectations?)
A: CineGear is one of our favorite events, so we were excited to be out on the Paramount lot talking with customers--answering questions, showing the latest Redrock gear. The show absolutely met our expectations: we met a lot of customers, people were able to see and use Redrock products firsthand, and it was a beautiful Southern California weekend.


Q: Describe a little bit about your company and what you all were promoting at the show.
A: Redrock Micro designs and manufactures support systems and cinema accessories for DSLRs, video cameras, and digital cinema cameras. We focus on providing affordable solutions for all levels of budgets and productions. This year at Cinegear we showcased the ultraCage DSLR, ultraBase and our newly-released microRemote Remote Follow Focus System. We also showed our full line of rigs such as the Captain Stubling and hugely popular Field Cinema Bundle.


Q: How did the attendees react to your announcement?
A: Attendees who stopped by our booth were ecstatic to hear we are now accepting orders for the microRemote and began shipping June 1st. Our microRemote has been anxiously anticipated for some time now, and we are happy to finally be able to release it to everyone. Customers who demoed the microRemote said they absolutely loved it.


Q: How was this year different? Would you recommend to others? (Why / why not?)
A: We really like Cine Gear because it is a relaxed atmosphere, a really great collection of vendors and exciting new gear, and is held at the inspiring Paramount Studios. We have the opportunity to talk directly with customers, which is one of our favorite things to do. We would definitely recommend this show to everyone— the LA weather is perfect, the crowd was fun, and a great time was had by all!
