Description

Hello, my name is Charles "Boots" Kennedye and I am a member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma. I first realized the power of film and television while going to school and have since used it to make a difference for tribal people with in my community. Currently, I am a documentary producer for (OETA) Oklahoma Educational Television Authority. For the past five years I have headed up many of the major projects produced by OETA winning awards from the Associated Press, Oklahoma Broadcasters Association, Society of Professional Journalists, Dallas Press Club Association, a Regional Emmy and three awards from (NETA) National Education Television Association including the "Best of the Best." In 2008, I was selected to attend the National WGBH Producers Academy. This experience has taught me that the voice I sought on the local level can also make change nationally. Currently, I am working on my own feature documentary while continuing to be a native voice at OETA for all my relations.
Specialties

I have worked in news, promotions, freelanced television commericals and worked for ad agencies but for the past eight years I have primarily worked in documentary production. It is my passion, the reason I get up every day and my canvas with which to communicate.
