After music technology studies at NYU, Simon quickly put his training into practice when he was commissioned to write additional music for the film, Wide Awake, the first studio film for close friend, M. Night Shyamalan. The track got cut, but Simon caught the film music bug from that point on. Soon after, the Burton Sisters directorial team tapped Simon to contribute music for their indie cult film, Temps.
Simon was then sought as a music consultant for the films The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Speak, Spin the Bottle, and The Order. Simon then began composing music for daring films that emerging and award-winning filmmakers alike have embraced as “exquisite”, “haunting”, and "stunningly refreshing!”
Simon''s musical journey continues as a harmony of his Western/Eastern heritage. Born in England and raised in the UK and America by Indian parents, Simon burst onto the scene when a pediatric nurse observed the length of his newborn fingers and declared, "This child will make music!"
