I am a local professional news photographer and editor currently working with KCPQ-TV Q13 FOX, and performs regular freelance work for Seattle Channel and other production companies in the area.
I have over five years as a news photographer and video editor. I have experience with character generators, technical directing, scriptwriting and camera operation. My video organizational skills are the culmination of many years of editing for myself and others. I possess a quick, sharp eye and work well under pressure.
My BS in Film and Video Production is the result of learning advanced skills with several camera and editing formats, including linear and non-linear. I received extensive training in television broadcasting, including TV camera operation, directing and technical directing of live broadcasts, ENG techniques, and VTR and teleprompter positions. I continue to audit courses to keep up with the latest technologies and techniques.
Daniel Loya has been in the industry since 2006.

This is the latest sample of my work while at Orlando's WKMG-TV Local 6. The news packages were shot mostly on Sony SP and XP cameras and edited using Grass Valley's NewsEdit NLE Suite, a program very similar to the Avid Symphony. This demo was edited with Final Cut Pro, and my original score was created using Soundtrack Pro.
