Coordinate with producers, directors and performers to establish production goals and desire projects time frame. Supervise audio department to maintain QC for all audio projects and computers maintenance. Responsible for all final audio mixes and edits using computer software and mixing boards to produce a high end audio mix using customer specs. Duplicate recordings into different formats such as DigiBeta, Quick Time movies, mpeg, aiff, wav, mp3, mp4, mpeg, avi, DA-88 among others. BIOGRAPHY
Bermuse (Javi Bermudo) is a music composer, sound designer, audio engineer and MIDI programmer that began his musical training behind piano at the early age of five. Classically trained, in the early 80‘s he began experimenting with synthesizers and different music genre such as rock, jazz, blues, reggae, latin among others. This gave him a solid path to create his own sound and unique approach to the way he perform, compose and produce music.
At the beginning of the 90’s he studied at Berklee College of Music were he perfected his musician skills as well as the craft of music programming. It was here that he discover MIDI programming, which for him this was a love at first sight. At the same time he joined reggae/rock band “Millo Torres y el Tercer Planeta”, were he recorded five albums, including a live album featuring world renowned percussionist Giovanni Hidalgo and Apple Gabriel from Israel Vibrations. Over these nine years as a performer, he shared the stage with artists like Santana, Ziggy Marley, Israel Vibration, Steel Pulse, Miguel Bose, Aleks Syntek, among others. This opened the door in 2001 when he joined a post production studio that specialized in original music score and custom sound design for documentaries, movies, TV and radio spots. In 2007 he moved to South Miami as chief audio engineer and sound designer for a major post audio studio that specialized in music and sound effects recreation for big networks such as Showtime, MTV, Nickelodeon, HBO, Rainbow, among others. Over the next years he created Bermuse Productions which from here he began experimenting with electronic and lounge music. His approach was inspired by his rich music background fused with electronic elements. This push him to start working on his first solo album titled The Experimental Sessions.01, which was released on December 2010.
Today Bermuse works from his personal studio in Miami FL, were he produce custom sound design, original music scoring and M&E recreation for the post production industry. At the same time, while working on his next album, The Experimental Sessions.02, he’s collaborating as producer, composer, engineer and programmer for various artists in South Miami.
