Iguana Kitchen Location Sound Recording Services for club or concert venues.

We offer a Pro Tools HD Accel 1 TDM based recording rig, which works well in both interior and exterior locations even in the frigid Michigan winter. 16 XLR audio inputs any sample rate up to 24 bit 96 kHz, or 12 XLR audio inputs at 24 bit 192 kHz.

For concert and live music settings we can take a feed right from your main mix, or direct boxes from your instruments depending on the size of your band instrumentation. We also offer surround recording from our Holophone H2 Pro 8-channel discrete surround array for audience and live ambience capture. It can be used either for surround or stereo mixes.

Our setup also works well for recording in your rehearsal space... we've even recorded some of our musician clients in their very own private homes.

We record to a Glyph GT050Q external hard drive and can deliver your project either by giving you the Glyph drive or on Data DVD. Access the recorded files either in the finished Pro Tools session or import the audio tracks into your DAE from the audio files folder in each session.

Iguana Kitchen also provides Quantum Audio Mechanics - the world's first 12 channel surround effects library. All new surround effects (not re-mastered from older non surround recordings) made at the source at 24 bits 192 kHz sampling rate. The 12 channels are: Left front, Right front, Center front, Left rear, Right rear, Center rear, Left side, Right side, Left center, Right center, IMAX (ceiling) and LFE (subwoofer). Also included are stereo mixdowns of every sound in HD 24 bit 192 kHz. Quantum Audio Mechanics now has over 170 sounds including a variety of indoor and outdoor ambiances, industrial sounds, weapons, and much more with many sounds up to five minutes in length.

Sound files are not pre-encoded but are individually labeled for track position and can be loaded anywhere in the mix - allowing for full 360 degree rotation with no out of phase drops.

True Precision 8 Preamps (2 ea), which have 8 inputs each (phantom power available on all inputs) and either DB25 or TRS pin connectors supporting up to 24 bit 192 kHz. Outfitted with 15 dB attenuator to prevent clipping.

Holophone H2 Pro Surround microphone array supplies 8 channels discrete surround: Lf, Rf, Cf, Lr, Rr, Cr, IMAX (ceiling) & LFE (subwoofer). The channels can be used separately for stereo ambiance as well.

Silent portable power source that can supply up to 3 hours quiet power in it’s current configuration, with additional hours available.
