Hello from Richmond BC. My name is Marlena Fairbourne. About 5 years ago (2003) I began a huge project of turning my private home in Richmond BC.(3000 sq.ft-1500 up/1500 down) into a real time living and breathing Medieval-Gothic dwelling...entirely reconstructed with every square inch (interior/exterior)being fitted out with genuine antique wood and antique carved furniture and adornment. Paying very special attention to the overall atmosphere right down to the very small and interesting carved detail work.
The result has been overwhelming to most visitors who feel they have been instantly transported to another place and time in the Old World.
Some European visitors remark... it surpasses even the most famous old European haunts they've seen! Although the "exteriors" of many old European Castles and Inns have been preserved...very little, if any of the "interiors" remain. What is so unique about this house is that the interior is remarkanbly nmysterious and ancient. In addition to the main house, there's also a most unique "matching" Gothic-medieval greenhouse that looks like no other you've probably ever seen. There's nothing quite like this anywhere else on the planet that I know of!
The house is well suited for so many themes from intimate Elizabethen dialog to modern Stephen King horror. Let me send you some shots...and if you like what you see, I certain that you'll like the house even better in person.
Luckily it's situated on a nice quiet wide crescent with a large driveway...so parking is not too much of a challenge.
Only 10 minutes from Vancouver Intn'l Airport. All amenities within a 5 minute drive.
