Description
Just like everyone else in that pile of applicant-hopefuls you’re wading through, I’d like to be a Film Production Assistant. But unlike the majority of them, I already have hands-on, practical experience in doing so, and a reel to back it up.
Can you use someone who’s ready to hit the ground running on Day One? If so, please allow me a few lines to make my case and see if you agree.
As you’ll see in the attached resumé, I have a degree in Communication Digital Media, a minor in Film Studies, and recent, real-world experience. I’ve just completed work on Clive Barker’s Dread, filmed on location in the U.K. While there, I served as Assistant to the Director and Producers, and also jumped in as a Visual Effects Assistant.
Pleased with my performance, the producers asked me to film the behind-the-scenes footage for the DVD, as well as manage and shoot on-camera interviews for the AFM trailer. It was, as you can imagine, challenging, thrilling and satisfying. I’ve found my calling.
Through my own production company, I’ve completed videos for a bestselling author and an award-winning musician. Now it’s time to take my game to the next level. I’m looking for a position where I can jump right in, get dirty and learn from those who know more than I do. Hard work doesn’t scare me, nor do long hours. I'm an organized, quick-thinking, creative self-starter and if I sound like someone you could use on your team, I would love to hear from you.
Please take a look at my demo reel on YouTube at youtube.com. It clocks in at under five minutes, and gives a quick insight into what I’m capable of.
If you’d like to know more, or would care to meet for an exploratory interview, I can make myself available at your convenience.
In advance, thanks for your time and consideration.
