Anwar L. Counts is an author of three published collections of poetry (Birth of a Poet Conceived: The Womb of Difference (c) 2007, Youniqueness (c) 2008, Eyedentity (c) 2009) and a forth to be released early 2012 (Resurrected Poet: Reflection of HiStory (c) 2011).
Counts is an award winning poet and orator as well as a highly requested host and Spoken Word Artist. As of recent, Counts was the host for the National Action Network (NAN)'s Political Activist Troop's "Obama Nation" (poetry/comedy showcase) at Rev. Al Sharpton's "House of Justice" in Harlem, NY.
Counts remains active in his filmmaking career by regularly producing short-films, tv shows, PSA's and documentaries.
