I am a jack of all trades in the production world. With a BA in Film in Media Arts, I have had the opportunity to work in many different areas of production: Development, reality TV, live events and scripted television.
I work in Development and assist producers in the research of potential show topics and scout talent for pilot episodes.
On location I have served as runner and helping camera, sound, lighting and producers with anything they need. Serving as a hands on asset and provide the crew with additional equipment and craft. I also worked with talent on location, making sure that they were on set on time, completed hair and make-up and ran lines with talent.
In the pre-production area I have worked as coordinator. As coordinator some of my key tasks were: booking locations, arranging travel for producers, talent and crew. Hiring crew and creating crew deal memos and making sure all paper work is in place for crew and vendors to be paid. Prior to going onto location, I made sure a certificate of Insurance was in place and a location agreement was in place.
While on location I was the key contact between the vendor and the producers and made sure that location agreements were signed and payment was completed.
After production has wrapped, I reconciled all petty cash, created detailed vendor grids that tracked all travel, crew and talent expense. The grids served as a budget tracking aid for the Production Manager, to quickly and effectively see if the budget was over or under after each shoot.
