My name is Fatima T. Williams, and I am very interested in applying for a Production Assistant position.

I began my career in the Entertainment Industry during my undergraduate studies with the organization, Endustry Power Players, at Howard University in Washington, D.C. As the General Body Manager of the Executive Board, I acted as the liaison between the Executive Board and the General Body, ensuring the needs and concerns of the student body were being met and addressed and that the Executive Board was fulfilling those needs through education and the execution of various on and off-campus events.

While working with EMI writer/producer, Freddy Wexler, I garnered an immense amount of hands-on knowledge on editing and improving artists’ websites and social networking pages. I have experience as an Executive Assistant with two different firms and am currently serving as the Business Manager of a team of writers. I currently handle event consultations in my spare time. Previously working for a boutique retail firm, I was fortunate enough to have the ability to communicate directly with all levels of the organization, including upper management and CEOs. I have traveled to The United Kingdom as a Student Ambassador for People To People and taken courses on the diversity of conducting business on an international scale.

As you can see from my enclosed resume, I recently completed an internship with Fuse TV for the Concerts, Touring & Events subdivision of their Production Department. Interning for this sect of production gave me hands on experience with producing an event of this magnitude on television. From pulling artist’s lyrics to making sure final cuts were properly labeled and delivered on time; I absorbed every moment of it.

Working for Fuse TV also allowed me to touch on all aspects of their Production Department. Finishing the assigned tasks for my department allowed me to aid other departments in efficiently completing their duties as well.
