I consider myself very fortunate that I have found a hobby that I can make a career out of. I have several years experience as an editor, and a lifetime as a storyteller. I live for creative.

I understand the importance of being able to run and guide a creative project to it's maturity. Not only do I work well with producer's by managing client expectations, I pride myself in bringing a little something extra creatively to each job. Whether it's a broadcast show, feature film, commercial, web content or mobile application, I thrive on the creative process from concept to maturity.

Editing is only part of what I do. Being a Lead Creative inside a full service production facility has provided expansion and growth in multiple facets of creative. Having an editor's eye, a feel for pacing, and solid communication skills; I have easily slid into the director's chair, and find myself shooting much more frequently as well.

I am proficient with an array of industry leading production equipment and processes and keep up to date with current technology trends. I am proficient with Final Cut Studio, Avid Media Composer and Avid Symphony. I also am proficient with color correction in the edit suite with applications such as Apple Color and Avid Symphony correction tools.

My creative editing experience ranges from feature films, trailers, broadcast (episodic, one hour specials), commercials, documentaries and corporate videos. I have worked with top agencies, multiple networks and independent film producer's and directors.

I love the creative industry, I couldn't imagine myself anywhere else. I love technology that helps bring ideas to fruition, but I especially love working with a team full of creative people. Because of this - I have found a passion for teaching. It's not only a rewarding experience, but I find myself inspired by so many students. I also serve as a mentor to students from Grand Valley State University.
