My career started while growing up in the studio. My father owned and operated a post house Power Post Audio where I first became acquainted and eventually consumed by the film/video medium. I grew up cutting effects and after cultivating my talent I found myself working on my first major motion picture: Standing in the Shadows of Motown. After Power Post closed I went to school at Hampshire College where I studied film and interactive Multi-Media. Upon graduating in May I moved to Brooklyn where I started working for several advertising firms. My work consisted of shooting and cutting sizzle reels and award show videos. My most recent work can be found in the Brooklyn Museum as part of the ReOrder exhibition, Making Reorder and Transforming the Great Hall. The trailer for this video can be found on my website, Lukegaraitaylor.com along with my reel.
I have experience with FCP, Avid, Adobe Creative Suite. I shoot with a Canon 7D and would be happy to send you a complete equipment list. Most importantly, I have extensive experience with the fast pace that post-production work often takes.
