I have been working in media production since 2008 and have extensive professional and academic experience. Currently I am freelancing and working part time as a Production Coordinator/Videographer at a film studio in New York City and am searching for other opportunities. I have worked on everything from feature length & short films to marketing & corporate videos. Professionally I have held the positions of Assistant Director, Production Coordinator, Camera Operator, Gaffer/Grip & Electric, Editor and Sound Mixer. Some of my responsibilities included hiring and organizing production crews, schedule shoots, coordinate travel, prepare talent for their scenes, compose visually appealing shots, set up and strike lighting equipment, monitor sound, ingest media footage and edit using nonlinear systems. I have also been accountable for making sure the legal documentation such as contracts, call sheets, talent and location agreement & release forms, was in order throughout the production. My experience in different departments has provided me with the knowledge of the diverse logistical requirements needed in order to create a successful production. During my academic career at American University I enrolled in courses focusing on all phases of production, from developing and pitching ideas to sound design and color correction in post-production. I had the opportunity to produced & direct several productions in which I was responsible for; writing the proposals & treatments, audio & video scripts, storyboards, budgets, scout and secure locations and cast talent. Along with the technical and theoretical skills I gained in pursuit of my graduate degree; teamwork, research, creative problem solving, multitasking on various projects in deadline environment, and prioritizing are attributes I honed while working on productions.
