Description
I have worked professionally as a production designer, art director and props master. I can work inexpensively and quickly. I know that no matter the budget, saving money is always paramount. One film I completed, MESSINA HIGH, was propertied entirely from yard sales and thrift stores, with only three days of prep time. The last photo shoot I worked on came in $1,600 under budget!
I've done science fiction, post-apocalyptic, Civil War, Renaissance, urban jungles, and prehistoric projects, so bring on the period and art pieces! I've created indoor corn fields and twisting oak trees in a furniture factory. I've created futuristic meeting rooms and grimy birthing suites, civil war era barracks and urban alleys. I can get the look you want, inexpensively and beautifully.
Most set dresser groan when they read food scenes in the script. Not me! I love doing prop food, and can work around any dietary needs your actors may have, providing safe, tasty food that will look right in every take!
I’m a proven collaborator and highly adaptable to any position. I can work under pressure, work hard, and make really good coffee. I'm not afraid of stepping up and getting the job done. I once worked as chicken wrangler and assistant art director on the same film. As a costumer on a Civil War era film, I had to help pack ground explosions for an fx shot, sew several actors into their costumes, then clean and pack twelve period rifles, all before picking up the pizza for lunch!
I live in Los Angeles, CA. I have my own transportation, a reliable small car that is fully insured, and have a clean driving record. I'm not afraid of working hard or putting in late hours on the job.
