Description
To Whom It May Concern,
I apologize for the cold contact, I'm writing to request consideration for your open executive assistant position.
Upon reviewing my resume I’m confident you’ll find I possess an extensive background in entertainment administrative work as well as written project development. I've been fortunate enough over the years to work in various media with television and film being distinct focal points. Before transitioning into the business side of the entertainment industry, I spent four years working simultaneously as an active infantry soldier in the United States Army and as a radio/television freelancer for local Clear Channel and ABC/Fox affiliates. Later I transitioned into a position as a broadcast journalist / public affairs specialist for the Ohio National Guard while continuing my entertainment-based internship schedule and completing a double major in film and communications at Ohio State University.
Regarding my experience with entertainment and company-specific administrative work, I would point to my tenures with Sunlion Films, Warner Bros., Fox and the Paradigm Talent and Literary Agency. Throughout my time with these companies, I effectively participated in development meetings, notes sessions, and script coverage while simultaneously maintaining the schedules and agendas of busy producers, agents, and clients. My time at Paradigm was particularly valuable as I was able to decipher, through hands-on experience, how television shows and motion pictures are developed from start to finish. I have been fortunate enough to participate in myriad Paradigm deals, ranging from the initiation of blind pilots at television networks to the intricate execution required in the packaging of independent films.
While my accompanying resume along with this cover letter together illustrate my skills and interests; I would appreciate an opportunity to interview so that I might better describe my passion and knowledge in person. Thank you for reviewing my materials and considering me for your open executive assistant position. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Most Sincerely,
Levi C. Preston
