Description

My name is Joshua Spivack and I have edited using both Final Cut Pro and Avid and was a two-time Regional Emmy nominee while editing features for FOX Sports in 2010. In addition to these editing platforms, I'm very familiar with After Effects, Motion, and of course Photoshop. I have also produced various taped shows and live segments, creating necessary formats and elements to support our production.
I would consider myself a very talented editor, with a sense not only for my producers' needs but also for the life of the piece, editing in a way that enhances this while taking special attention to the slightest of details, from effects to audio and music. Serving as a preditor has helped in this process, as I've had the opportunity to write scripts, cut full-length shows, and instruct fellow producers and talent on the direction of our production. In editing I've found the ability to resonate with different people for different reasons, articulating themes which I can develop through subtle, and not so subtle, editing tricks. Editing in a fast-paced, deadline- style environment is a forte of mine and I've done it for two networks successfully. The same can be said for my producing, where I've had the pleasure of considering my viewer in the creation of show elements that support the theme of the production itself, coordinating this alongside the staff for the project. I live in Los Angeles, can travel and relocate, and am very eager to enhance my career. I am confident in my abilities and know I would impress your hiring staff, not just because of my ability to create excellent work but also because I am easy to work with, have a fun but diligent personality, and am a team player.
