Description

I have more than 10 years’ experience producing films and videos for broadcast and festivals. I have also written comics for kids and adults, and had two graphic novels published.

As Director of Videography, I transformed an online trade magazine into a video broadcasting center for the specialty toy industry, producing and/or shooting and editing more than 4,000 demonstration and interview videos for our readers. The videos have become one of the most popular features of the magazine and have resulted in increased sales for manufacturers who have had their toys demo'd online. They have also increased brand recognition for the company and set us apart from our competitors, none of whom have been able to replicate our success in this area. Our foresight in creating the video department has also allowed our clients to enhance their social networking sites by purchasing the video files and using them on their Facebook pages.

One of my greatest skills is anticipating what a client or reader needs, which includes spotting important trends. For instance, I was the first writer in the country to recognize the importance of the Webkinz craze to the specialty toy industry. Thanks to the articles I wrote and oversaw, our retailers were able to get in early on the trend and to generate tremendous income from the fad before the toy crossed over into the mass market.
