As a recent college graduate I have obtained experience that has given me qualifications to be an avid asset in the film and television production industries. I have interned at numerous places such as Black Entertainment Television, Studio Seven Productions and WCPO TV-9.
At these fast paced, intense internships I worked in many aspects of production and marketing. These include brainstorming ideas, writing, transcribing, logging, producing, taping and editing. I also set up department meetings, made runs to clients, handled petty cash, made production books for The BET Awards 2010, organized a tape library and many other tasks to help maintain productivity at the stations and production companies.
Administrative work comes along with entry level job in radio and I have experience in that field as well. Working as the Bursar/ Cashier Assistant at Alabama A&M University, I was able to gain organizational skills, multitasking skills, problem solving skills and communication skills. I assisted the entire Finance Office at times, which required multitasking and working with students financial issues brought forth much problem solving. I learned the importance of telephone etiquette while having to answer phone calls from past and present students, and parents.
Currently, I am a Quality Assurance Auditor and my main focus is to pay strong attention to detail. I have to make sure that all clients and consumers get their correct products in a timely fashion at Cornerstone Brands Incorporated.
I am seeking the Productions Assistant/ Promotions Assistant position where I will have the opportunity to learn in depth, and assist in the process of creating, promoting and marketing television, radio and film efficiently and consistently.
