Description

I am currently working as a Video Editor at Lynda.com in Ventura, California.

I am a recenent graduate from Brooks Institute with a BA in Visual Journalism with a passion for documentary filmmaking. I aspire to be a photographer, videographer, and/or editor. Ultimately I long to travel and tell real life stories. I have shot, edited, and produced several documentary films. Although I am a photographer at heart, editing has become my ultimate dream profession.

Last summer I completed the summer internship as the Science Desk Multimedia Intern at NPR in Washington, D.C., where she worked on such segments as Krulwich Wonders.

In 2010 I became the producer for the 2011 annual Brooks Institute International Documentary Project entitled, From Within. I spent seven weeks in Vientam documenting Thien, a 14 year old girl with Leprosy. Myself along with three other editors combined the work of 10 students to create another long format multimedia documentary that catches a glimpse into several different Vietnamese lifestyles.

In 2009 I acted as a Production Editor for Revelar los Enlaces, the annual Brooks Institute International Documentary Project, a long format multimedia documentary piece in which myself three other editors combined the work of 16 students as they documented the nation of Chile.

Along side Jeff Johns, I Co-Directed/Produced/Edited the short documentary Pop. 2,275, a film documenting the small Northern California town of Wheatland. The film was later accepted as an official selection to the 2009 Ventura-Ojai Film Festival.
