I am very familiar with the day to day working of a busy production operation that performs duties both in the studio and on remote locations. I have wide-ranging practice managing a large staff of full time and freelance employees and use my role to lead, inspire, and work gainfully with my employees and colleagues. I endeavor to encourage creativity and collaboration across departmental lines while managing numerous projects at any one time. My style is casually strong, hands-on and people oriented easily conducting multiple tasks and working with diverse personalities that have wide-ranging skill sets. My extensive skills include developing, implementing and maintaining operational and long-term capital expenditure budgets. I practice effective financial responsibility through constant oversight, forecasting and adjusting budgets. I quickly adapt to changing business needs, discovering and implementing efficiencies in operations and introducing new technologies as a means of improving productivity and programming dissemination.

As a manager, I uphold active supervision of employee performance, development and progress, as well as taking an assertive role in conflict resolution. I have many years of experience with numerous labor unions, both in a supervisory capacity and as an active participant in contract negotiation and grievance resolution.

In my career, I have managed production services/operations for more or less every program format. From live entertainment, news and sports programming - studio-based and remote generated - to taped public affairs talk shows, magazine programs and documentaries. I also have experience in producing content for usage and mass storage on the Internet. In every instance I have utilized my skills as a former cameraman, lighting director, producer and director to guide a team toward an effective and creative execution of each project, and believe in a 24/7 approach to my availability as an effective way of keeping the lead in the ever changing environment that exists in television.
