Description

Joe White is based in New York City and works in television and film production as a Director of Photography, and Cinematographer. His clients have included HBO, Direct TV, BET, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Hallmark Channel, The Cooking Channel, and others. Joe graduated with a BA in Cinema Studies –Production Concentration, with a Minor in Art –Photography Concentration.
Joe began his career as a Production Assistant in 1998 on “Dawson Creek” but discovered his love for the image and light as a member of the U.S. Army Long Range Surveillance Detachment, conducting top-secret reconnaissance and surveillance missions for the 82nd Airborne, 3rd Armored Cavalry, and Special Forces throughout the extreme terrain of Afghanistan and Iraq. He was twice awarded the Army Commendation Medal, as well as the Combat and Expert Infantryman Badges. His photography has been published and is included in the National Touring Exhibition; The American Soldier, From the Civil War to the War in Iraq. Joseph left the Army in 2005 and completed his BA in Film and Photography.
Joe White currently resides in New York City.
