Description
DeQoure Andre Sayles was born on June 23rd 1989. He was born into a gifted and musically inclined family that has managed and promoted music in many genres. As a result, Mr. Sayles was always constantly surrounded by music. His father and mother, Bishop James & Lisa Sayles were affiliated with several Gospel groups in Houston, Texas. Much of his past- time as a child was spent within the church and traveling across the nation with the many gospel groups that his parent were affiliated with. At an early age, it was soon discovered that DeQoure was blessed by God to inherit the same musical talents as his immediate and extended family. He has been given many stage and music names by friends and music colleagues; however he is best known as DeQoure, AKA “DQ the producer”. DQ – the producer is quite capable of doing unprecedented and extraordinary things when it comes to music production and nomenclature.
DeQoure is an impeccable keyboardist of flamboyant precision and style, without abstinence of the capability of songwriting and music composition. To accompany these skills, he is also a promising musical producer. He is also gifted to play the percussion/drums, guitar and bass guitar but of-times refer to his singing as “opportunistic” at best. He knows voices very well though.
At the age of 11 years old, DeQoure was enrolled into professional music classes and trained by a private music major by the name of Ms Nancy from H&H music. To further solidify his apprenticeship while in grade school, he took just about every music course available to him, including but was not limited to music theory, band, piano and choir. He even went it as far as playing the Xylophones. As the days and years progressed, all his music instruction received from his teachers, family and friends, paid off for him.
Being exposed to the music industry, he was able to mold his musical abilities by working with great Houston-based musicians such as Marquis Sanders, Isaac Boney, Samuel Ross, Zarcardi Cortez, James Fortune and many others. As a result, Deqoure’s skills began to develop to an even grander scale. It has been noted that music is the nucleus of his career. He endured many sleepless nights, due the tenacity, hard work, and time spent in developing and growing his talents. He has shared the professional stage with artist such as Jessoul Brant, Reggie Jamz, and Anzeo David, to name a few. In 2010 Deqoure had the privilege of meeting and working with Allen “A Flat” Hunter, the producer of the very successful 90’s R&B group H-Town. The two formed a close relationship to gain insight and increased mind-sharing regarding the music industry.
DeQoure has produced gospel music albums for artist such as The Anointed Voicez and up-coming artist such as JMyles and Twyla of Southern Mississippi. He is also working with a local promising R&B group by the name of 3G ENT. In addition, Deqoure is also working with Jolivette, formally of the 90’s R&B group Deep Threat. After years of preparing and taking constructive criticism, as well as facing some rejections by major record labels, Deqoure continues to develop and grow his skills. He is working on formalizing his music business by hopes of incorporating his production label, which is currently doing business as The Qoure Productions.
