Katrina Kane
Description
A recent graduate of the University of Miami, where I double majored in Motion Pictures and Psychology, I've had extensive experience in film and television production work. I have contributed to multiple film and television projects simultaneously, in addition to handling several different roles at a time on various productions.
My most recently a production assistant for the multi award winning production company PineRidge Film & Television. I was able to work on a travel reality show called Getting Away Together, assisting in all aspects from pre to post production working under Emmy winner’s producer Joan McCord and director Jerry Smith. They taught me the professionalism and quality of producing a nationwide program. Having shown them my capabilities as their key production assistant, they assigned me a Line Producing title for their annual project Promos To Go, used by news station across the country.
Last year I traveled to Brazil to assist as a PA with Legacy Group Global on a humanitarian documentary based on the work of Bishop Robson Rodovalho. There I learned that no task is too small. I provided research about Brasilia and Goiania, our scheduled locations areas, to foresee any problems to efficiently stay on schedule. My responsibilities also included being a liaison to the client, key make-up, wardrobe, and being the assistant to sound and camera operators. With such a small crew we were able to come back from Brazil with everything we were set out to accomplish.
Finally, I also have substantial experience covering news for the 2008 election interning as PA with Sky News, British Sky Broadcasting Ltd, for their “Sky News: Miami White House” coverage. I was featured on their live streaming segments of the “Situation Room”, dedicated to the most up-to-date coverage and research. In addition, I also assisted with featured guest for the show and other related production tasks behind the scenes including art direction.
