Description
Umut Ermeç is a New York based audio engineer/electronic musician/instructor who holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering from University of Istanbul (Turkey), a pre-master diploma in music production and recording techniques from University of Stavanger (Norway), and a master of fine arts degree in recording arts and technologies from Middle Tennessee State University (USA). He was the first Turkish student to be admitted to the Department of Dance and Music of University of Stavanger and the very first international student to be graduated from the master of fine arts program of Middle Tennessee State University. He assisted many professors as a graduate assistant during his study at Middle Tennessee State University and taught RIM 4400 – Recording Studio Techniques in Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 semesters. He is currently teaching synchronized sound recording at New York Film Academy and working as a freelance audio engineer specializing in recording, mixing and sound design.
