Description
I have seven years of professional experience in media design and development. I have worked the last five years at a Fortune 500 Architecture and Engineering corporation. The breadth of the architecture and engineering covered there, from petrochemical, biomedical, civil, and structural to aerospace and in-between has uniquely developed my career to a wide range of means of representation. I have simulated precise trajectories of military projectiles from predicted spreadsheets of exact data. I have modeled, rigged, and animated many complex mechanical animations. I have an extensive knowledge of character animation and crowd simulation. My skillsets range from graphic design, application development, architectural, industrial, and mechanical renderings, animations, and simulations, custom character-from concept to output, 3d printing, CNC digital fabrication, compositing live actions including camera tracking, motion graphics, advanced compositing on high bit imagery, and even a mastery of particle effects.
From my time at that firm I have developed a uniquely diverse set of skillsets to the media creation process. I have an intimate understanding in the technical abilities and limitations of the most current software’s devoted to visual digital creation. As the first hire to that company’s newly formed Visual Media Group, I helped establish a group of 8, and managed efforts to repeated success, on time and on budget. From the company I gained many advanced technical abilities and most importantly, the management of time and labor to meet client expectations. I have since started my own company, RealLusion L.L.C., providing these services to my clients: www.real-lusion.com
I graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2006 with a B.S. in Architecture. The foundation and approach to design, whether it be volumetric architectural space and the lighting qualities inherent in a Southward facing fenestration into the room or the creation of a whole new logo type, I can apply with metric repeated success the discipline and design process methodology I learned there. Every project starts with a concept, is turned into a sketch, and is thoroughly researched, tested, and evaluated through the client engagement process. The success of all satisfying projects remains in client communication. Great communication about expectations, deliverable standards, timing and budget are core to my business practice.
My forte is storyboarding. Meeting with the client, listening and engaging with his client to grasp the main idea, disseminate those great ideas into concepts-then develop them to their final media deliverables-whatever they be; the approach is the same. I truly distinguish myself in this pursuit of communicating the client’s desires into a visual representation.
Please review my resume, attached. Your company is very inspiring; I have a complete understanding of the software's needed, the workflow needed for imagery/animation production, and have the experience managing teams to meet deadlines on budget with superb quality in the results delivered. I am willing to relocate for such an opportunity. If you have any questions or comments, please contact me. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
