I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Computer Animation at International Academy of Design & Technology in Tampa. I chose to become animator because I want to bring characters to live and make them do what I want them to do. I have strong abilities in character animation in both hand-drawn and 3D to bring characters to live. I am comfortable in using the techniques in Autodesk Maya such as the dope sheet to develop character blocking and the graphic editor to work on timing out the movements. My skills are developing 3D character animation based on the storyboards and the animatic. I developed character blocking to analysis pose-to-pose based on the video references of character acting and timing. I tweak the movements of that character to give it an organic look type of animation. I used two downloaded rigs from creativecrash.com; one of them is a yellow fox, the other is a guy; to develop two character animations. My skills in character animation are also developing lip sync and apply facial expression to the character. I study the audio clip first to come up with an idea for the character’s mouth shape and expression. Then I apply the lip sync and the facial expression to the character. I also have strong skills in 3D rotoscoping by matching each pose from the video clip to the rigged models. I used one of the downloaded rigged models to do kung fu tricks by uploading a martial arts video sequence into Autodesk Maya. Then I matched each pose of the model to the martial artist doing kung fu tricks. I also have strong knowledge in using Toonboom Studio techniques such as the pencil tool to sketch out the animation, and the paint brush tool to develop a clean cartoon animation. First, I designed two of my own characters; one of them is a young shell-less turtle and the other is an alligator coat. Second I used my bamboo tablet to animate my two characters traditionally in Toonboom based on the downloaded audio clip from the 11secondclub.com. This is my new animation demo reel which include 2D and 3D animation and concept arts. I use Autodesk Maya for 3D animation, Toon Boom Studios for 2D animation and Adobe Photoshop for concept art and illustration.
