Producer/Director/Cinematographer Steven Wacks has been working in the film and television industry for over 25 years. His work has ranged from Hollywood feature films and dramatic television to award-winning documentaries and cutting-edge commercials and promos.

As a cinematographer, his feature credits include the Venice Film Festival Critics Award winner, DRIVE, and the Emmy Award winning documentary, HEARTS OF DARKNESS. Other documentary credits include the award-winning BAND OF BROTHERS documentary: WE STAND ALONE TOGETHER: THE MEN OF EASY COMPANY, the recent Emmy Award winning HBO ALZHEIMERS PROJECT, and Oliver Stone’s SOUTH OF THE BORDER.

As a producer and director, Steven Wacks has filmed numerous commercials as well as promotional campaigns for features and television including the ABC HARRY POTTER SPECIAL, Savion Glover’s HAPPY FEET SPECIAL and GOTHAM TONIGHT featuring the cast of THE DARK NIGHT. His EPISODES campaign for Showtime recently won a Clio Award.

A graduate of Vassar College, Steven Wacks holds an MFA in Film Production from the USC School of Cinema, where he is also a guest lecturer.
