Santa Monica-based NT Audio Video Film Labs is known for recording optical soundtrack negatives at 1/2 speed and to date, is the only facility which uses this process. Francis Ford Coppola's RUMBLE FISH was one of the first films to use the 1/2 speed process. NT Audio was the first facility to shoot all 3 digital formats (Dolby SR/D, DTS and Sony SDDS) plus analog, on the same optical soundtrack negative. Twentieth Century Fox's DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE was the first title to be shot in Quad (multi) format. NT Audio is also the first independent facility worldwide to own two Sony Dynamic Digital Sound® (SDDS) Recorders.
