If you're new to video editing, upgrading from consumer-level software, or want to edit video on a PC, cross-platform Adobe Premiere Pro is perfect for you! This powerful application is fully-capable for newbies all the way up to professionals, growing with you as your skills improve.

We'll start with the fundamentals of non-linear editing, then go into using Premiere for media management, timeline-based editing, and encoding video for the web or DVD. You'll leave knowing how to get your video on YouTube, plus a few tips and tricks for effective editing!

The Premiere Pro workflow
Getting the most out of the project panel
Adding assets to your project
Understanding Source & Program windows
The timeline & tracks
Keyboard shortcuts and tricks
Basic timeline editing
Exporting/encoding a timeline



Presented in Adobe CS5, but most of what is taught will apply to earlier versions of the program.
