MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The East End Film Festival showcases hot new talent and homegrown films alongside larger independent releases and special events, informing and inspiring a new generation of filmmakers and audiences from across London and beyond, and raising the profile of this vibrant and diverse area - London’s East End.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The festival began in 2001 as a platform to showcase local filmmakers at local venues, a key priority that remains to this day. Over the following decade the festival has grown into a year round celebration of international film, special events, workshops, outdoor screenings, music, art, poetry and top drawer guests. East End Film Festival 2011 offered an extremely generous and diversified portfolio of films and events sourced from around Europe, Middle East, Asia and beyond yet the festival remains firmly rooted in East London, a veritable miasma of hot new talent and excitement inspired by the diversity and continuing evolution of its ever-changing social profile.
