Samsung Second Screen Storytellers

Samsung and the NYTVF have partnered on a landmark initiative providing indie producers and production companies with the opportunity to compete for a production budget of $300,000 to create an original short series that extends beyond the TV and integrates the second screen. Samsung's groundbreaking technology enables storytellers to carry their narrative across multiple screens - and they're challenging indie producers to creatively explore the possibilities.

Submit your short indie pilot with accompanying second screen material by September 24th for a chance at a guaranteed series and pioneer this exciting new storytelling frontier!

The Challenge:
The NYTVF-Samsung "Second Screen Storytellers" initiative invites you to create an original short TV pilot (or selected excerpt scenes) that integrate additional elements of storytelling that will accompany your show on a second screen, for the opportunity to earn a guaranteed production budget of $300,000 to make your own series.

Submission Requirements:
FREE to submit. Just include the following:
* An original short pilot or excerpt scene. 6-10 minutes in length.
* One piece of corresponding second screen content. Maximum of 2 minutes in length. What do we mean "second screen content"? Find out all the cool details here: nytvf.com
* One series treatment outlining the show concept and second screen extension opportunities. Maximum of 4 pages in length
* Signed Entry Packet

The Awards:
5 Finalists will receive designation as 2012 NYTVF Official Artists and be invited to the New York Television Festival, held in NYC in October 2012.
One winner will be selected by Samsung and he/she will receive a production budget of $300,000 to create an original short series with accompanying second screen material.
The winning selection and subsequent series will debut at the Consumer Electronics Show in 2013 and will then be exclusively distributed via Samsung Smart TVs and Galaxy devices.
