Experience: • At least five years of experience managing video productions, including supervising the production, scheduling, contracting professional services, directing location shooting, script writing and some editing.
• Portfolio of work showing videos for which you've managed the production from start to finish is a must.
• Documentary filmmaking experience is strongly desired.
• Working knowledge of editing software applications for video is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment, attend to multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure, and most importantly possess a constant flow of ground-breaking concepts.
• Effective project management skills and ability to work in a group/team environment is essential to thrive in this opportunity.
• Experience providing communications and editorial advice/direction in a large multi-national organization is desired, but not mandatory.
• Previous experience working with interactive marketing agencies and advertising agencies is desired, but not mandatory.
• Experience in the energy industry or extractive industry is a plus.

Details

We are looking for a creative and energetic video professional to tell our client’s story on the Web. The Corporate Video Producer should be an exceptional storyteller who can deliver powerful, informative stories in short films of 3 minutes or less. The ideal candidate should be able to direct, produce and manage the creation of evocative videos.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with our client’s corporate communication team to develop new and creative ideas, shoot, produce, and package audio/video.
• Write, compile and produce video scripts.
• Work with our client to identify stories and create a production calendar to ensure a steady stream of new videos.
• Manage contractors and internal crews who shoot videos.
• Manage the updating of a YouTube channel.
• Maintain records reflecting operational activities, costs of services and inventory of productions.
• Assist in teaching media workshops and educational programs to train participants to create videos with Flip cams.

Additional Information:

• This is a full-time hourly position.
• This position is located onsite with our client in San Ramon, CA. Occasional telecommuting is possible.
• Occasional travel is required.
