Revenge of the Documentary Rocks at Real Screen Summit in DC
At the recent Real Screen Summit I Washington DC, the panel, “Revenge of the Documentary” suggested that docs may be undergoing a rebirth on American TV in the next few years. Major brands like Discovery, National Geographic, Showtime, HBO etc proclaimed that they will be relying increasingly on documentaries to chart a course back to their core values and away from the homogeneity of similarly formatted unscripted, so-called reality TV shows.

Q&A: Hall of Famer Frank Scheuring Talks the Art of Sound Mixing & Editing
A 2001 graduate of Full Sail University, Frank Scheuring has worked in sound for television and film for nearly 15 years. During that time he has been a part of over 1,300 programs for clients such as Discovery, the National Geographic Channel, FOX, TLC, PBS, G4TV, the Smithsonian Channel, and a slew of independent directors and producers. In addition to his long form work, he has worked on hundreds of commercials and marketing videos for clients such as the Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards, Pfizer, Ford, and many political candidates. In 2014 Frank stepped into the world of producing with a TV series pilot called "Speed Freaks: The Science of Speed" and in 2015 produced his first feature length documentary, "Blood and Steel: Cedar Crest Country Club".

Director of photography Ross Emery, ACS lensed five episodes of Aaron Guzikowski’s upcoming HBO Max series Raised by Wolves, which launches Sep. 3. The first series directed by Ridley Scott since 1969, the show is a high-budget remake of the Caitlan Moran series of the same name. Taking place on a mysterious planet, Raised by Wolves follows a group of humans rescued from a destroyed Earth and now protected by artificial intelligence systems named Mother and Father. When the two colonies threaten to tear each other apart, the android systems must fight to protect the humans from their own beliefs.
