In his sports broadcasting career, he has mixed every major sport and traveled all over the world doing it. He worked on the Fox NFL pregame show in Kabul Afghanistan, which he mixed on a Calrec Zeta. He has worked six Olympics (most for NBC), 17 Super Bowls, five World Series, two Stanley Cups, Cricket matches, NASCAR, Indy Car Racing, Goodwill Games in Russia, Great Outdoor Games, X Games, Golf’s U.S. Open, PGA Championships and 25 consecutive years of MLB and NFL games.

In Review: SlingStudio, A Whole New Perspective
When I was first approached about doing a product review for SlingStudio (owned by DISH), I was pretty skeptical. What would a huge company known for delivery content know about creating content? But I digress. I come from the traditional sit behind the switcher in the truck produce and punch the show or game. You get it. Big setups, lots of presets and time. Then it dawned on me that multicamera (multi-source) is mostly the same however you approach it. It's really all about scaling your production plan to the scale of the production and what is it that you want your audience to see and experience.

NAB 2017 Awards of Excellence Winners Take Center Stage
So before we get to our illustrious winners, I think providing a little background is in order. When the ProductionHUB team set out to chose our Award of Excellence Winners it seemed like such a simple task. Slam dunk, 1, 2 3. Hour to pick the winners tops right? That would be such a resounding NO. Everyone (including me) in that room fought tooth and nail to do one thing. That one thing was to get it right. So after a lot of arguing, persuading, and flat out shouting at each other we had our list. Wasn’t easy or very pretty but when the dust settled there it was. There was so many solid products out there, and I won’t lie we all had our own favorites. But that didn’t matter. So,some four arduous hours later we were done. Best of the best. Let’s go!
