SEACREST STUDIOS’ RADIO AND TV PROGRAMMING AT U.S. PEDIATRIC HOSPITALS
Project: Ryan Seacrest Foundation’s (RSF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring today’s youth through entertainment and education-focused initiatives. RSF’s primary initiative is to build broadcast media centers — Seacrest Studios — within pediatric hospitals for patients to explore the creative realms of radio, television and new media. Most recently, the foundation opened a brand new Seacrest Studio at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, complete with state-of-the-art video and audio equipment. The studio helps the foundation fulfill its mission of contributing positively to the healing process of children and their families through radio and TV programming.

What It's Like Shooting VR during a Pandemic
Recently, I was contacted through ProductionHUB to shoot a VR video tour for Lima Corporate, an international, cutting edge medical device manufacturer and 3D printer. The facility is connected to NYC’s Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS). Lima’s engineers work directly with HSS surgeons to 3D print titanium medical devices, which help patients regain lost physical mobility. I was excited for the opportunity, but there was one caveat—we were in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown.

Focal Point Productions Uses ATEM Mini to Live Stream Interviews for GBMC HealthCare System
Our first internal piece was a live town hall on March 20th. It included the hospital president and other leadership discussing COVID-19 policies, workplace changes, future plans, and answering employee questions from the chat. We then continued for five more weeks to hold these meetings, most of which averaged 800 live viewers, with even more watching it on-demand later.
