This is an accelerated Acting for Camera Course for Muhlenberg College's abroad program.
This is both a cinematography position and a teaching assistant position in one.
Candidate should understand that, while these are college students, we are seeking to make their footage look as great as we can with what we have available.
Candidate should have a positive attitude and have a certain level of enthusiasm to share their knowledge while simultaneously growing with other aspiring artists.

I need someone with a certain amount of their own gear/equipment and the skill to use it.
-A camera that has 4K capabilities (which we don't use) but still looks good in HD
(i.e. Canon 5D Mark IV) The 4K will fry their laptops. Something comparable to the 5d works.
-Their own lenses. 2 or 3 prime and one zoom should get it done.
-Their own handheld rig.
-Their own tripod.
-Someone that has a few of their own lights that can efficiently light a room.
(I have 2 RGB Tube Lights, and a set of 3 LED GVM's to contribute)
-Someone who ideally has their own basic sound equipment (like lavs and/or an Zoom mic, or shotgun mic)
(I have a ZoomH8n but I have never used it and don't know how.) They are welcome to use mine. Additionally, we have 1 lav that is owned by the course. So it isn't mandatory that they have their own sound stuff, but some basic understanding of how it is used would be ideal or the self-starter attitude to learn.
-Ideally someone who has their own c-stands and sand bags (I don't have any)
-Someone with their own reliable Cards, card readers, and batteries.
-Laptop to transfer footage

I need someone with the knowledge of the following.
-Basic transferring of footage to a card. To a hard drive. (Workflow to be explained)
-Extensive knowledge of their own camera.
-Understands how to hook the camera up to a tv monitor so we can see what is being recorded in real time through an HDMI
-Someone who is computer savvy or could help in aspects of tech would be a plus.

Sometimes the TA will be asked to do non-technical jobs like acquiring a permit for location shoots for the students finals.
Most of the set-ups are very standard and minimal.

-We will have some secured available storage space to place equipment overnight.
-90% of the course will be filmed in one location at the studio space.
-The compensation is between 6K & 8K pending experience and whether or not you're a NYC local.
