My name is Meera and I am a Producer from New York City. I am reaching out regarding a short film called Black Duck written and directed by Ricardo J. Verona that we are hoping to shoot in Puerto Rico, more specifically Cabo Rojo.

Ricardo J. Varona is a Puerto Rican filmmaker based in NYC. He is currently a Miloš Forman Directing Fellow and MFA Directing candidate for Columbia University’s Film MFA program.
I, Meera, am finishing my MFA in Creative Producing at Columbia University. Since coming to New York, I have produced a number of shorts and am currently developing short and feature films. Doublespeak, a short film I co-produced that explores sexual harassment in the workplace was a part of the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.

We are planning to shoot in the end of July 2021. We are looking for Production services from Gaffers to Sound to any good crew you might know about who might be interested in working on a student film.
This script has won a small grant and has money for the bare necessities but is still a very low budget film and any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.
