Dedicated and passionate about short film, the Edinburgh Short Film Festival is a rapidly-growing, specialist short film festival, that screens 8 nights of short film in Scotland’s stunningly beautiful capital city - every year, beginning in late October.

This year’s event opens on October 26th 2016 at the Filmhouse cinema, and ends with a closing-night party and awards ceremony on November 6th . Alongside some of the best contemporary Scottish, UK and international short film, there’ll be Funding Workshops, Script Pitching Competitions, Networking Sessions, Interviews, an Award ceremony and some friendly locals!

Each year, we curate screenings of some of our best short films for international festivals around the world. In the past, we've worked with the Trinidad & Tobago Film Festival as well as the Sardinia Film Festival, Hidden Door, Screenplay Film Festival and in 2016 we will also be working with Short Shorts Film Festival, Japan's biggest short film festival based in Tokyo!
