Intermediate Filmmaking will explore the world of filmmaking in a more detailed manner than Intro to Filmmaking. Class will be held weekly for a total of 8 weeks from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm.

This course will focus on Pre-Production, including story pitches, screenwriting, location scouting, actor casting, storyboard creation and shot lists, and Production of two short films up to the completion of principal photography. By the end of the course, students will have shot material for two 7-10 minute short films which will be ready for Post-Production in the following course, Advanced Filmmaking. There will be a minimum of two shooting days per film, as well as two actor audition days (dates/times to be determined in class, dependent on actor, student, and location availability) that will be held outside of regular class. Students as a group will also be responsible for providing craft services for the actors on shooting days.

Prior completion of Intro to Filmmaking or comparable experience will be prerequisites. Cost for the course is $595.
