Lead Designer and company President Richard Molnar (Senior Member IATSE, Local 891) brings over 25 years experience to bear in the production of screen-ready, custom-built props. He has worked in every job category within the Prop Department, both on and off set. This experience has given him uncommon insight into what your production colleagues demand of you, and the props you provide.

"Mobile Phone Scanner /Tracker" featuring off-camera remote control of "SCAN/SEEK" function via cabled remote. Numeric LED display detail. Custom "non-strobing" design. Built for the TV series MILLENNIUM. (Co-produced with Clint Bolton. Electronics provided by Steven Genser of Robotic Effects. CAD rendering pr "Mil-Spec Field Operations Transceiver" featuring numeric LED displays, illuminated indicators, and transmit key actuated LED signal strength indicator. Originally built by SFX department of the TV series MacGYVER as a "Submarine Cloaking Device". It was subsequently obtained by MMPP INC. and repeatedly modified for various other production purposes. "Becca's Pistol" from the TV series ANDROMEDA Features included removable magazine, sequenced LED indicators & squib firing circuit. (Primary Fabrication: Peter Toporzysek. Electronics: Bill Merry of Williams Electronics) "Harper's Pistol" from the TV series ANDROMEDA. Featured a sequenced squib firing circuit. (Electronics provided by Bill Merry of Williams Electronics) "Tyr's Pistol" from the TV series ANDROMEDA. Featured sequenced LED indicators & squib firing circuit. (Primary Fabrication: Bob Boel & Charlie Grant. Electronics: Bill Merry of Williams Electronics. "Tyr's Over-Under Assault Rifle" from the TV series ANDROMEDA. Featured a removable magazine, sequenced LED indicators and a multimode squib firing circuit. (Primary Fabrication: Bob Boel & Charlie Gr "Limpid Mine" from ANDROMEDA. Features magnetic attachment and illuminated "ARMED" indicator. (shown"OFF") Illuminated "ARMED" indicator shown "ON". (3D modeling by Bob Boel.) Featured 6 points of articulation & 4 flashing LED "hazard lights." "Remote Manipulator Arm" from the TV series SMALLVILLE. In use on set. Off-camera control. (Co-produced with Bob Boel. "Home Computer System - Main Console" from the feature film TIMECOP. "Home Computer System - Satellite Console." Both featured simulated capacitance touch screens & control surfaces. Each unit was designed to be flush-mounted into a pocket cut into the existing set wal "Grenade Launcher Targeting System" from the feature film A-TEAM. Realistic multicoated laser finder windows and imager lens. Functional weatherproof color LCD monitor mounted on an adjustable arm. (Image was fed off-camera via coaxial cable.) Built to withstand heat & vibration while mounted to the Armorer provided automatic grenade launcher. "Portable DNA Lab" from the unaired TV pilot HRT. Featured a vacuum nozzle and hose for sample gathering, interchangeable sample containers, a sample analysis chamber with a blue-glow effect. Originally built for the TV series THE SENTINEL as an "EMP" GUN" but was later modified for use on various other productions. Featured a user triggered LED graph display - shown "OFF". Consisted of a facing component temporarily attached to a stock LCD monitor. "Access Control Keypad" rigged for simulated (self contained) operation. Simulated Proximity Card Reader with keypad and special "Electronic Key" Status LED's cycle from red "SECURE" to green "ACCESS GRANTED" via off-camera wireless remote. "SECURE" "ACCESS GRANTED" "Electronic Key" Key is inserted into the right side of the unit. Blue LED illuminates once the key is fully engaged. "Timer Controlled Cable-Sear" from the feature film WHO'S HARRY CRUMB? "Surveillance Tracking Transponder" from the feature film WHO'S HARRY CRUMB? Featured user settable alphanumeric LED "start-time" display, functional "countdown" display & flashing "ARMED" indicator. Displays were engineered to prevent "strobing artifacts" normally evident dur "Android Faceplate" from the film STRANGE CHANGES. Apertures in forehead were rigged to emit blue liquid. "BNC Patch Panel" featuring functional LED indicators. Battery-powered, this item could be easily attached to a set wall or equipment console. "Mini BNC Patch Panel" Same functional attributes as the larger version. "Electric Prod" from the TV series MILLENNIUM. 8-Channel Programmable Radio Detonator Unit (simulated) from the TV series MILLENNIUM. "STANDBY/READY" "ARMED" "FIRING COMPLETE" It featured microprocessor controlled LED sequencing and custom (backlit) membrane-switch keypad. (Electronics provided by Steve Genser of Robotic Effects. CAD rendering produced by Bob Boel) "ND Sensor/Scanner Device" with LED bar-graph. Features user controllable "SCAN RATE" and "SOURCE STRENGTH" (via control knobs). "Computer Surveillance Data Recorder" Featuring user-activated LED indicators. "CCTV Surveillance Camera" featuring cabled remote control of focus, zoom, & tally light functions. Closer view. "High Power Laboratory Laser" from the TV series SMALLVILLE. Mounted to a mobile pedestal that featured interlocked 3-wheeled steering, pan, tilt, & precision elevation via hand-wheel. Lighting effects where accomplished with LED's and miniature neon tube. "Remote Sensor Monitor Console" featuring LED status indicators controlled off-camera via remote. (Originally built by White Monkey Design but later modified to its present form by MMPP INC.) "Robot Helper" from the pre-show presentation video for the theme park attraction ROKKOR'S (later renamed THE TERIBIS ADVENTURE). This prop (as well as many others produced by MMPP INC.) were later in Capable of transition between recorded and live control during performance, this robot featured 6 points of articulation and a guitar lacquer finish. The apparatus consists of 5 main components. All components were contained within a fitted field case. Control/Monitor Unit was simply an empty housing that contained a rented mini-HD video monitor (Primary Fabrication: Clint Bolton. CAD Rendering: Bob Boel.) "Control Panels" originally built for the feature film BORDELLO OF BLOOD. Featured cabled remote control of illuminated indicators and sequenced bar-graph LED display (remote control components shown). "Electroshock Therapy Apparatus" from the TV series SMALLVILLE. In use on set. (CAD rendering provided by Bob Boel) Binary Chemical Bomb Controller/Timer from the TV series ARROW. On-camera components consisted of the controller head and working power supply unit. Power supply detail. Each LED bar-graph segment was individually controlled off-camera via cabled remote. "Viper's Lair Computer Console" from the TV series VIPER. Item featured a variety of simulated memory media devices and illuminated indicators that were controlled off-camera by cabled remote. (Co-pro "Tally Light Unit". Self powered, this item was simply attached with double-sided tape and blinked brightly when switched on. "Elevator Floor Indicator System" built to simulate elevator use. From the feature film JENNIFER 8. Floor selection & "CALL" button indicators were controlled off-camera via cabled remote. (Co-produced with Bob Boel) "Incident Video Recorder Unit" from the TV series VIPER featuring LED "RECORD" & "POWER" indicators. "Data Node Monitor" featuring 12 randomly flashing LED's. Self powered via 9 V battery. Easily attachable to a wall, console, or other set-piece. "Memory Pool - Subject Interface Unit" from the TV series SMALLVILLE featuring LED practical lighting. "Comm Boxes" suited to spaceflight operations. User-activated LED indicators. (Co-produced with Bob Boel. Electronics provided by Steve Genser of Robotic Effects) Tracking Transponder (simulated) from the web/TV series BLOOD AND CHROME. Features 2 dual-brightness flashing LED's. Device breaks-down into 2 modules (transmitter & power supply). Battery cover removed. Construction of an "Alien Anal Probe" for the feature film SCARY MOVIE 3 (deleted scene). Completed prop.
