The Graphic Designer works with the Post Production and Content Management departments to create still and motion graphics for a variety of Big Breakfast/CollegeHumor video content. This includes peripheral deliverables such as thumbnails and banners, and media assets for videos such as lower thirds, icons, logos, and title cards. This role requires someone who has basic motion graphics skills, a design background, is imaginative, appreciates comedy, and who can work independently. This position is intended for those interested in graphic design and is not a path to a writer/actor role at CollegeHumor.
Reports to Post Production Supervisor.
Create original thumbnail images for CollegeHumor videos posting to YouTube, CollegeHumor.com, and other syndication partners
Design in-world icons and logos for CollegeHumor videos
Create both still and animated logos, lower thirds, and title images for weekly series
Assist our VFX Artist as necessary, by designing/mocking up still assets for animation
Experience / Skills
Knowledge and/or experience in logo or title design
Expert skills in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
Previous experience in a business or professional environment, preferably in entertainment
Knowledge of Adobe After Effects, with the ability to add simple animation to motion graphics
Familiarity with video post production workflow
Extreme attention to detail
A strong imagination, with the ability to conceptualize and design a variety of original artwork weekly
