This position is responsible for the strategy and management of all facets related to the Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment desktop sites, mobile sites, digital apps and social media channels. The incumbent is accountable for the overall quality, traffic growth, fan engagement and revenue generation opportunities of each platform.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop overall management strategy for BSE sites, including Nets, Islanders, Barclays Center, NYCB Live and other venues
Develop the Brooklyn Technology Platform
Oversee sites on a daily basis and manage the sites throughout the season, on gameday, and during off-season
Manage the digital staff: web developers, social and email
Oversee the company apps to ensure we are the leaders in this space
Develop and lead the charge on fan engagement in the social media channels; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Weibo, etc
Responsible for tracking and reporting data, impressions and engagement
Think creatively and develop innovative digital and social media strategies to increase engagement
Work with other departments and potential third-parties to develop high-quality, relevant content in a timely fashion
Meet aggressive timelines and proactively address bottlenecks
Maintain an active relationship with the NBA to ensure that the Brooklyn Nets are informed of best practices and are current on all emerging offerings; stays abreast with best practices and emerging offerings across all consumer brands
Facilitate quality assurance on organizational sites
Manages the organization's non-editorial content strategy and content audits;
Ensures that company brand strategies and standards are upheld;
Identifies areas for improvement and potential new technologies;
Use digital media analytics to guide content strategy and new product offerings;
Cross-promote digital content across digital channels;
Work with sales teams to increase revenue through specific marketing initiatives;
Manage the digital rate card
Execute digital marketing campaigns for team/arena partners/sponsors;
Infrequent Traveler (less than 5% travel): The incumbent may be required to travel on a very limited basis. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
This position requires the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
The incumbent works primarily in an office environment but is expected to attend Brooklyn Nets games and other Barclays Center events on evenings, weekends and holidays.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in digital media, marketing or a related field required;
Minimum 5 - 7 years of relevant experience managing big brand websites and social media identities.
Must have category experience in sports;
Must have the ability to maintain an impeccable professional appearance;
Must possess a strong ability to manage one’s own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objectives;
Must have experience working on various content management systems, with intermediate experience in XHTML, HTML, PHP, XML and CSS;
Must have experience working with Adobe Creative Suite;
Must possess familiarity with analytics tools (Omniture, Google Analytics, Web Trends, etc.) and interpreting data;
Must have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion with regard to interpersonal relationships;
