Time Inc produces thousands of videos per year, from quick news hits, to in depth editorial pieces for magazines such as Time, Life, Fortune, Essence, Instyle and high quality branded content for Time Inc's advertisers.

The role of the Post Production Tools and Training Specialist is to be a leader in the growing Video Editorial Teams in standards and quality of video content, including support for editorial workflows (video editing, asset management, quality control) and providing technical support for editors and animators. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the backend editorial systems (Adobe, DaVinci Resolve, Asset Management), a mastery of front end editorial workflow and a passion for educating others.

Responsibilities include:

Work with the editorial staff to troubleshoot common problems with editorial tools, including Adobe Premiere, After Effects and the Asset Management System.
Understanding of the administration, maintenance, configuration of Mac Post Production workstations.
Onboarding and training of all new editors, animators & producers on post systems and standards.
Updating SOP & standards documentation.
Monitoring quality control including video standards, project organization, naming conventions and tagging metadata on a daily basis.
Coordinating with the Engineering team regarding transcode, archive and SAN issues.
Providing feedback on new products and workflows.
Preliminary troubleshooting of technology issues as they arise.







Experience / Skills

5 years minimum Post Production experience, at a large network, production facility or agency.
Deep understanding of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve and other post production tools.
Extensive experience training and educating new users on software.
Experience with production and post workflows including custom MAM, SAN, DAM workflows.
Experience teaching or training a must.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Calm under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and follow-up.
Knowledge and experience with Mac software.
Bachelor's Degree in Film, Television or other applicable area of study.
