Onion, Inc. is seeking a video Editor to add to our video team. This position will be responsible for creating assembly edits for daily and weekly Onion Inc. and FMG video content. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere is essential, with Adobe After Effects and Audition experience being a plus. All applicants should have strong organizational and research skills, and knowledge of The Onion's voice and style. In addition applicants should have experience editing docu style formats.


Editing daily and weekly video content
Working with producers/directors to meet editorial and sponsored content deadlines
Delivering daily content

Experience / Skills

Qualifications & Skills:

Proficiency in Adobe Premiere.
Familiarity with Adobe Suite - including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Audition - is a plus.
Familiarity with basic color correction a plus.
Ability to work within tight schedules and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with industry standard post-production workflows
Passing knowledge of asset gathering and stock footage / image licensing.
Strong organizational skills; willing to learn our server structure, project structure, labeling etc.
Research - Reference searching is critical for satire and staying current.
Familiarity with The Onion’s voice and style.
Ability to work within branded content.
Ability to edit documentary style.
2 - 3 years of professional editing experience
Ability to create pile ups using multicam sequences
