What We Do

Beverly Hills Television (BHTV) is the government cable channel for the City of Beverly Hills, and since 1984, has been producing award-winning local programming that informs and educates residents on municipal issues, offers insights into the City's programs and events, and is dedicated to lifelong learning. Our programs have won three L.A. Area Emmy awards and received six nominations. The station has also received numerous regional and national programming awards.

What We're Looking For

The City of Beverly Hills is seeking an outstanding Cable TV/Video Assistant. This position performs a variety of technical duties including non-linear editing, camera operation, and live video production for City programs, meetings and events. The ideal candidate for this position displays a passion and commitment to working in a dynamic video production and post-production environment. She/he is a team player, has an outstanding customer service ethic, and enjoys working with a diverse group of people.

Experience / Skills


•Works as part of a crew for live and video taped meetings and events.
•May operate a variety of equipment to include cameras, character generator, lighting and audio equipment.
•Loads, unloads and maintains equipment.
•Dubs and edits video tapes.
•Performs a wide variety of tasks related to the area assigned.
•May assist with programming functions.

Physical Requirements

Incumbents in this classification may stand for extended periods of time, lift and carry related equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, reach, climb stairs and ladders, and ladders, and work outside exposed to the elements.
