The Animator is responsible for developing animations that follow specified storyboards and scripts within Charter's Customer Operations Learning and Development (L&D) training programs. He/She collaborates with the interaction design team to produce the right concept for the right audience. The Animator develops media ouputs in the design standard formats to the specialized resource teams for use in the learning interactions.

The Animator actively and consistently provides animated, rich-media outputs that adhere to a design specification while leveraging creative know-how to bring a design to life. He/She will research and introduce new market/industry trends that innovate methods for animation to increase the knowledge transfer/learning.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain familiarity with a portfolio of rich-media objects and composites that fit into an overall topical architecture (as determined by the Learning Experience team), thereby increasing potential for re-use

Utilize creative skills (illustration, animation) and technologies (Adobe Suite, rendering suites) to produce the appropriate outputs on time and on budget

Intepret storyboards and requests to deliver creative and innovative animated solutions

Work collaboratively with the design team, making quick iterations and occasionally working in a workshop setting using creative skills to demonstrate “what’s possible”

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to use computer and software applications specific to creative design (including but not limited to: Adobe suite, llustration tablets, Rich Media design software)
Ability to work independently and be self directed
Demonstrated creative portfolio of animated business concepts
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and complete multiple assignments concurrently to meet deadlines
Ability to quickly and effectively shift gears to meet changing business requirements and priorities
Ability to communicate directly with Interaction Designers to obtain and clarify key information
Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems while working under pressure
Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties
Demonstrate an ability to work closely with peers to ensure successful learning outcomes and integrated learning interactions

Education

BA/BS in Graphic Design, Illustration, Animation or related field required, preferred experience creating narrated assets
