As a Producer you will be responsible for overseeing Broadcast and Video projects from initial concept development through to delivery, acting as the production liaison between the marketing client/business owners, vendors, Brand and Legal, live action production and the Creative Services team. The Producer is in charge of the day-to-day supervision for each project they are leading, ensuring spots and videos are delivered on time, on budget, meet QC standards and compliance and remain consistent with the agreed-upon scope of work. Must possess very detailed television production skills as well as specific technical knowledge and the ability to problem-solve under pressure. Oversee all day-to-day video and broadcast production activities including the creation and management of detailed project plans and daily artist assignments.
Create project bids, accurately forecast project costs, maintain expenditures and actualize project budgets upon wrap.
Serve as a partner to the Creative Director, ensuring they have what they need for each project and are clear on key deadlines and schedule. Support in the development and management of the project plan, strategy, deliverables and timeline.
Establish and update project calendars, including individual workflows for all aspects of production.
Manage and communicate with artists regularly to ensure there is a clear understanding of assignments and deadlines, and resolve any discrepancies or issues as they arise ensuring that projects run efficiently.
Shepherd creative through an extensive approval process which includes, but is not limited to the Creative Services team, clients, Brand, Legal, etc.
Ensure that projects deliver on time and on budget.
Review and monitor all milestones for compliance and completion, including proper QC of final project deliveries.
Motivate and lead small to large teams, including writers, designers, animators and editors etc, with enthusiasm and clarity.
Assist in the overall development of a team environment that recruits and retains top talent.
Serve as a resource and partner to the creative and production teams and a mentor to coordinators and production assistants.
Experience / Skills
Thorough workflow knowledge of graphic design, 2D/3D animation, tracking, roto, compositing, editorial and overall post-production processes, including live action and element shoots with expertise in current industry trends.
Strong strategic, analytical and critical problem-solving skills: able to identity and mitigate risks and prioritize conflicting tasks effectively.
Adaptable and accommodating to meet ever-changing needs of clients: must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
An independent self-starter who anticipates project requirements and plans ahead.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Calm and methodical with the ability to communicate effectively with creative and project management staff, engendering trust and respect.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Impeccable organizational skills.
Working knowledge of union talent rules.
Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of production experience at a design/animation studio, VFX post house or Ad Agency.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
