FOX Digital Consumer Group in Los Angeles, CA is looking for outstanding talent to lead the creation of FOX Sports next generation live video platform which streams over 6500 live events per year including World Series, Super Bowl, US Open, Daytona 500, and FIFA World Cup. In the role of Senior Technical Product Manager of Live Sports, you will help define, prioritize, and facilitate the rollout of new technology powering FOX NOW, FOX.com, FOX Sports GO, and other digital experiences. This role requires strong technical product management experience, exceptional leadership skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, versatility and expertise in all aspects of video workflow, delivery, and user experience and most importantly, a passion for sports programming.

Responsibilities:

-Define product goals, KPIs, requirements, and architecture in an agile environment by understanding and prioritizing end-user and business stakeholder needs
-Dig deep into the design and architecture of high volume live streaming solutions optimizing for availability, latency, scalability, and operational efficiency
-Manage the priorities of engineering, operations, internal partners, third-party vendors and marketing to deliver effective and timely solutions while balancing technical dependencies, resourcing, and other constraints
-Partner with customer facing product teams to implement and extend core solutions and use cases across platforms
-Use analytics, user testing, customer feedback, and optimization technologies to drive continuous and iterative improvement in the quality and performance of FOX’s internet video delivery of sports programming
-Use market and customer research, industry trends / best practices, and discovery with partners to conceptualize and develop product ideas
-Own the delivery of the live sports video platform and ensure successful execution of the customer experience

Experience / Skills


Qualifications

-5+ years of technical product management experience and a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
-A passion for sports, TV and online video, and creating amazing consumer products
-Strong understanding of digital video delivery technologies including video CMS, encoders, CDNs, and video ad decision technologies
-Knowledge of sports production and traditional broadcast technologies including scheduling/trafficking, signal origination/routing, playout, monitoring, and automation including an understanding of SCTE-35 and SCTE-224
-A proven track record of developing and launching successful digital video or sports products
-Ability to drive and influence business decisions based on data and metrics with expertise in web, mobile, and video analytics such as Adobe Analytics and Conviva
-Experience working in an Agile environment including defining and documenting product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
-Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
-Comfortable working in an execution focused, fast paced environment balancing multiple projects, short-term goals, and long-term vision
-Solution-oriented, highly motivated, and proactive self-starter
-Strategic mindset coupled with a keen attention to detail
